We celebrated the 4th of July here in Ghana on the 3rd, which was our day off. It was a rainy afternoon, but we collaborated to make/bring some great food, including guacamole, cole slaw, mango and pineapple salad, hotdogs, apple pie (sort of), ice cream, etc. We had tons of fun playing cards, singing patriotic songs (surprisingly moving), and dancing.
On Sunday, I will leave for off-site language training in Hohoe in the Volta Region. From there, it is four straight weeks of travel.
Hi Kate,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great fourth!
Did the stars from California arrive?
Big hugs,
Hunny

I haven't received the stickers yet, but we've been traveling. I might get mail on Sunday when I'm back at the hub site. Thank you in advance!!! Peace Corps is very good about getting us our mail.
ReplyDeleteI got all the stickers, both packages, one from Thailand and one from LA!! Thank you so much!!! Is Steven not checking his email while in Thailand?
